Music is an integral part of the Montessori curriculum. Every class incorporates music appreciation, songs for singing, movement to music and musical traditions of other cultures and countries.

Primary music instruction includes learning to play the Montessori bells, which help children distinguish between tones, and become familiar with the diatomic scale. They progress to matching tones, playing simple tunes, and learning note notation. Our classrooms are infused with music everyday. Elementary students learn to create and explore music through music theory (notation and technique), music production and performance (choral singing, rhythm instruments, tone bars, and English hand bells), and music history (instruments around the world and great composers).
