Extended Day

Our highly qualified and experienced extended day staff are under the direction of Janelle Humes, an AMI Primary trained Directress.

Early Morning Care – 7:00 am – 8:10 am                                                                                             Primary and Elementary Students
Primary and elementary students may attend on a regularly scheduled basis, 5 days per week, or on a drop-in basis with advance notice. Reservations for drop-in space can be made by calling the office. 

Toddler Nappers – 12:00 pm – 2:45 pm                                                                                               Toddlers 
Children are provided with lunch. bring their own lunch (MICH provides the lunch bag). The children play outside, eat, read, listen
to a story and then retire to their cots for a nap/rest. The Toddler napper program is 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, and concludes at 2:45 pm.

Nappers – 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm                                                                                                                   Half Day Primary Students
Children bring their own lunch (MICH provides the lunch bag). MICH provides milk to those who want it. The children play outside, eat, read, listen to a story and then retire to their cots for a nap/rest. The napper program  is 5 days a week, Monday through Friday and concludes at 3:00 pm.

Primary Extended Day – 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm                                                                                   Primary Students
Full Day Primary children and Half Day Primary children (who attend the Nappers Program) may stay for Primary Extended day. The program is 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.  Children attending this program may be picked up at any time before
6:00 pm.  The Primary Extended Day room is filled with age-appropriate toys, games, crafts and activities. Children play outside, enjoy a snack, have indoor playtime, and in general enjoy free time interacting with other children.

Elementary Extended Day – 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm                                                                             Elementary Students
Elementary children may attend this program. Children attending this program may be picked up at any time before 6:00 pm.  The Elementary Extended Day room is filled with age-appropriate games, books, crafts, toys, and comfortable furniture. Students play outside, help prepare and eat snack, have indoor playtime including games, crafts, knitting, music and in general enjoy free time interacting with other children.
