Our highly qualified and experienced extended day staff are under the direction of Janelle Humes, an AMI Primary trained Directress.
Children in this program must sign up for at least one day per week on a permanent basis. Space is limited, but extra days per week can be requested on a space-available basis. Children bring their own lunch (MICH provides the lunch bag). MICH provides milk to those who want it. The children play outside, eat, read, listen to a story and then retire to their cots for a nap/rest. The napper program concludes at 3:15 pm but children may stay for the Primary Extended day.
Full Day Primary children and Half Day Primary children (who attend the Nappers) may stay for Primary Extended day on a regularly scheduled basis, 1-5 days per week, or on a drop-in basis with advance notice. Reservations for drop-in space can be made by calling the office. Children attending this program may be picked up at any time before 6:00 pm. The Primary Extended Day room is filled with age-appropriate toys, games, crafts and activities. Children play outside, enjoy a snack, have indoor playtime, and in general enjoy free time interacting with other children.
