Faculty & Staff

We are very proud of our entire staff, many of whom have been part of our community for over 20 years. This longevity is a testimony to the stability and growth that characterizes MICH. Our most precious resource next to our children is our staff. Their experience, education, and attitude shape and mold our children everyday.

We've named our classrooms after flowers native to our area, a choice that reflects our core philosophy: (1) Focus on the Environment: Naming the room—not the teacher—decentralizes the guide and emphasizes the prepared environment as the children's main resource. (2) Ownership & Connection: Connecting the classroom to local nature fosters stewardship and gives children direct ownership in caring for their space. (3) Respect for All Roles: It honors the idea that every adult and child has an important role in the classroom's life, tying back to our belief that the environment is sustained by the community.
