Who We Are

Purpose Statement

Our purpose is to develop the full potential of each student as an individual and responsible member of our world society.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a Montessori education, guided by AMI principles, that fosters the intellectual curiosity and creativity of our students. At MICH, children, staff and families collaborate to build and maintain a respectful, diverse and nurturing school community.

Our Core Beliefs

Our children are our most precious resource and it is our duty and mission to help them mature into caring individuals whose knowledge of themselves and the world around them allows them to grow into productive citizens of the world.

Focusing on the child as an individual allows us to help our students learn at their own pace, enables them to take pride in their accomplishments, and to become capable of sharing their knowledge with younger children in the classroom.

We believe that education should be challenging. We have a responsibility to help our students see beyond mere facts and numbers and to explore the inter-connectedness of the world in which they live.
